We decided to venture into a property investment/flip in Waco, Texas and OH BOY! was it a roller coaster! Looking for the right house to purchase proved itself to be a task, both wonderful and frustrating because one of us wanted small; the other wanted a big house that was a replica of our current home. I think in terms of cost-effective planning while he thinks in terms of what he wanted. He didn’t see himself in a small home but I absolutely LOVE small homes! They are cozy and you can do so much with them in terms of interior finishes because they are smaller so the cost is not as high as if it were a larger home. We love homes with lots of land and lots of trees. I prefer being near water. Land-locked is not my preference. For those of you that don’t know this: I grew up in a coastal town where the ocean was literally just down the road. Moving to Texas was hard but this little house is our second home for now and we plan on improving it, updating it and making the best of it.
